Steeplejack Visit

The whole school was enthralled with tales from Peter Harknett, the steeplejack who has been working on our weather vane, in a special assembly this week. Peter told tales from his sixty four years in the business and showed amazing photos of some of the projects he has worked on – including Big Ben and St Pauls cathedral. His next job is a 1500 ft flagpole in Jordan! The children listened beautifully and gave him a very warm Strand welcome.
