STARS Award

Yesterday we took delivery of our Gold STARS award for promoting active and safe travel to school. The award was obviously delivered in a sustainable way by electric cargo bike! Thank you to everyone who has taken part in all our initiatives in the last year but more importantly have changed their habits and travel more sustainably. Miss Heale and Miss Smith Stevenson who submitted all our evidence collected the award on behalf of the school. We still have some way to go but small changes can have a big impact particularly when driving to school. One change drivers can make is parking a little distance from the school and walking a short distance. This solves the problem of unsafe parking and turning in the Brooks Lane turning head and helps to up those active minutes. Give it a go next week.
