New Entrance and New Roof
The school has been inundated with builders this summer completing the new roof and making the changes to the entrance hall. The works to the ground floor have created a new open reception area, meeting room and a quiet space for Mr Thorne as well as a relocated music room, resources area and Sunshine room. The builders were fantastic and completed their work spot on time. The roof work is also complete with the last few touches being put to the newly gilded weather vane today. The weather vane has been restored by Peter Harknett who, at 78, is the oldest working steeple jack in the UK! We are hoping to fix a date for him to visit the children in assembly and share some highlights of his work including the gilding on Big Ben!
