Jubilee Celebrations

The day has been packed with Jubilee Celebrations and the weather has been a beautiful backdrop to festivities. The day started with a fact packed assembly about the Queen's reign, the role of the monarchy and how the Queen's role as Head of State fits into our democratic system. The fun continued in class with lots of activities around the Jubilee before the street party this afternoon. The sun shone and the whole playground looked festive, decked out with red white and blue bunting as the children sat down to their traditional afternoon tea. The day ended with the bake off winners being announced and every child being given their commemorative coin to remember the day. Thank you to all the families who sent in food and to all the staff who worked hard to organise everything.
