Cracking Concert

It was lovely to see so many of you joining us at the Wellesley Road Baptist Church for this year’s concerts. We do hope you enjoyed the fantastic singing, which included some very intricate three-part melody from Year 6 who made their complex mash up of I Dreamed a Dream, Man in the Mirror and Changes look easy! The whole school songs raised the roof with a full range of musical techniques on display, from the haunting dynamics of the Winter Wind to the sheer power of Rule the World. The children were, as ever, the stars of the show singing beautifully and delivering their lines with confidence and clarity. Special mention, and a huge thank you, to Geoff Bonner who played piano, Laura Percival on saxophone, Maxi M from Year 5 who played on Last Christmas and Eva P who designed the cover for the programme. What a talented bunch of staff and children we have here at Strand Juniors. All the money raised will go to two charities close to our hearts, Crisis at Christmas and Cancer Research, both of which have supported Strand families this year. Thank you to everyone who made a contribution.
